After arrival on the grounds, the prisoners are booked into the compound.

They are thoroughly searched and given their prison uniforms, eventually.
As for personal belongings, they are boxed and taken away and will not be returned until the end of the sentence.
Sometimes prisoners need to be "cleaned" (and humiliated at the same time).
Difficult prisoners can be placed in solitary confinement and left naked to further humiliate them.  Or they can be placed in a straight jacket and then hogtied.
